About me

I love photography!

I love photography!

I originally trained as a nurse many years ago and still work in this area on a part time basis. My love for photography really grew from taking snaps when away on holiday. I found that I enjoyed photographing people and nature so much that I soon became obsessed! I invested in my first DSLR in 2012 and have not looked back since.

I completed a Diploma in Professional Photography with the Photography Institute in 2019 and started to really expand my experience, shooting both nature and people. I found that I loved photographing people so much that I decided to make this my main stream for my photography business.

I have always found people really interesting and inspiring, having spent years working with many different people from different backgrounds and with different needs, I found that the ‘people’ skills I have acquired in my nursing career are directly relatable to dealing with people from a photographic perspective. I am also a Mum and Grandmum so have a fairly comprehensive experience of communicating with children and young people, which helps immensely when photographing children and families.

I have been lucky enough to work with a number of models to build their portfolios and also photograph some creative themed shoots. I love the creative challenge of building a story through photographs.
